ABOUT DEBORAH BARTELLO
Deborah had an unusual upbringing as a child. Due to her mother's involvement with her own spiritual search and awakening, Deborah was taught and encouraged early on to develop her contact with the Angelic Beings and Master Teachers of which she was so aware. Her mother had a Master Teacher in spirit that was like a second father to her as her father was away much of the time traveling on business. In addition, Deborah was raised in Europe for many years where she was exposed at length to the wealth of art so prevalent there. This greatly nurtured her love of this form of creative expression.
After having received her undergraduate degree in 1975, she worked as a professional artist and designer for a stained glass studio for two years. Still feeling restless about her career, she decided to go back to school for her Masters in counseling. Having completed her degree, she then worked in the field of rehabilitation for several years in Boston finding much fulfillment in working with physically disabled people. Her undercurrent of "inner restlessness" did not subside however. She realized there was a deep spiritual element that was missing in her training and her work as well.
Through her mother, she discovered The Patricia Hayes School of Inner Sense Development and, first, was a student and then became an instructor of energy based Ro-Hun Therapy, Hypnotherapy and a variety of alternative subjects. Two years later in 1985 when she met her husband, Jack, she had been certified as a Minister, a Master Teacher, a Ro-Hun therapist, a Hypnotherapist and a trance channel. She had also re-discovered her art, but from the spiritual perspective of which she had been yearning. This is when she "birthed" her current style of energy, visionary and interdimensional art. She started her commission work of energy pictures and soul portraits which she has continued to do for people throughout the U.S.
She and Jack then moved to Vero Beach, Florida where they established The Healing Institute. She did extensive one on one healing work with clients including her own unique form of art therapy. Together they led workshops and intensives in teaching people about energy, meditation and healing.
In 1988, she and Jack moved to their farm in central Virginia, using it as a base to travel to different parts of the country doing their healing work and workshops. During this time, they also studied at Perelandra, a Nature Research center in Virginia devoted to developing a co-creative relationship with Nature. This study deepened Deborah's understanding of the many different levels of Nature energy and Intelligence. She did a picture of each season of the Perelandra garden which Perelandra used as a teaching tool in their workshops about nature and energy. Deborah also shows these pictures in her slide presentations.
After a deeply awakening spiritual experience in 1990, Deborah and Jack were "guided" to move west where they continued their work in Sacramento, California under their new business name of Lightworks! The nature of their work changed from healing people to awakening and transforming them and teaching them to heal themselves.
As part of their new program of awakening, Deborah started to do slide presentations of her artwork, which have since become a major source of inspiration and education for many people. In these presentations, she has been able to teach people about energy, nature and its many levels of intelligence, life after death, soul development and the Angelic and Master teacher realms. Many times her audience has been amazed at witnessing her art pieces act as "cosmic windows" through which healing and loving communication take place. Many attendees have reported shifts in consciousness, upliftment and expanded insight as well as healing.
In 1991, Deborah and Jack both had yet another awakening experience in Mount Shasta, California which led them to move there and subsequently open a retreat center. Upon arrival, they went into retreat on the mountain itself for one month and communed with the Ascended Masters. This led them to creating their well known Ascended Master series of intensives, now called the Christ Heart series. Students came from all over the country to participate in these workshops to clear their way toward deeper spiritual awareness and to retrieve the Christ Consciousness within.
At this time of birthing this new consciousness, Deborah created her well known Ascended Master series of portraits. She refers to them as the "updated and current" versions of the Masters that she has depicted. She continually works on expanding this series of portraits to include more of the Masters as they invite her to do so.
In 1993, Deborah and Jack moved back to their farm in central Virginia where they lived for the next five years continuing their teaching work and launching new projects. In 1994 Deborah created Interlight!, School for Interdimensional Creativity, which is about birthing the "artist within" and sourcing the vital creative impulse within each of us. During these years, Deborah and Jack also wrote their recent book, We the People Are the Messiah, which was inspired by their work in Mount Shasta.
Finally, in 1998, Deborah and Jack followed their inner calling to return westward where they re-settled back in the beautiful environs of Mount Shasta. Here they are currently making plans to start teaching their workshops in addition to getting started on their second book.
Throughout all of her work, Deborah brings a level of professionalism, directness and humility. Her love and devotion of being a co-creator with God, coupled with her knowledge of the inner workings of people, enables her to inspire and reach her clients and students on a deep and rich level. Her creative genius is ever apparent in all that she does. She is a strong and caring force of love and light and ever the "way-shower."
Currently Deborah is very busy with her art work as well as the variety of programs that she and Jack are busy leading. They are both committed to living to their fullest potential and assisting others to do the same in whatever ways they can.
